Springfield Ramblers 3 Douglas Hall 1
Despite going a goal down after 30 seconds Springfield Ramblers recovered to record a well deserved win. With Michael Meaney providing brilliant leadership in leading the line Springfield Ramblers produced excellent football to carve open the visitors to allow Daniel Barry to provide an excellent cross which Meaney converted. With Adam Devlin And Sean McLoughlin dominating midfield the home team continued to press for the lead and when Daniel Barry again provided an excellent cross James Stoate converted to put the home side ahead. With both teams playing good football in the second half Cathal O’Hanlon produced an excellent save to keep the score at 2-1. With both teams creating some half chances Springfield Ramblers made the game safe with a well executed third goal, when the ball was played up to John Kennedy he held off the Douglas Hall player and fed James O Carroll on the wing, James provided an excellent cross and Man of the Match Michael Meaney was on hand to score his second goal.
