Under 11 Premier
Springfield Ramblers 0 Carrigaline 6
Best on the day Colin Henderson , Jae Kinsella, Cormac Brennan and Jamie O Mahony
Under 14 National Cup
Springfield Ramblers A (1) v Springfield Ramblers (4)
A nervy start to this game for the premier team who conceded a penalty just 3 mins into the game. The penalty was superbly dispatched by Brian Danaj giving Jamie Bates no chance.
The equalizer came after 10 mins with Tom Gill scoring from a corner. Within 5 more mins and from a 2nd corner the premier team took the lead from an own goal.
The 3rd came before half time when Dara O’Connell followed in on the keeper who had just made a great save from Mikey Foley.
Goal number 4 came from Diarmuid Kearney and was the only score of the 2nd half thanks in no small part to Adam Stanton who had a great game between the sticks for the A side .
Best on the day for the premier team were Cian Walker, Nathan O’Connell and Tom Gill.
Overall this was a great contest between the 2 SpringfieldRamblers sides and it was
unfortunate that only 1 of the two teams could progress.
