Springfield Ramblers (0) v Carrigaline United (1)
This was a hard fought battle by the lads who were unlucky not to get an equaliser throughout the game. Carrigaline started well with a great strike from their centre forward. Springfield did will to keep themselves in the game coming close a few times but it wasn’t their day. Best on the day were Cian Walker, Cian O Rourke and Morgan Dillon Hilton.

Umbro 13 Division 5
Carrigaline United B (1) v Springfield Ramblers B (7)
After a few tough weeks and heavy defeats it was nice for the team to get a good win over a Carrigaline team who struggled to get a full team on the day. The match started with 10 v 11 and Springfield took full advantage with two early goals from Brad Stapleton and Killian O’ Connell. When Carrigaline eventually were up to full strength they proved a little harder to breakdown but eventually Springfield broke through and scored another couple of goals from Evan O’Leary who dominated mid-field and Ger Devlin. Carrigaline came out fighting in the second half and managed to pull a goal back. However as the game went on and Carrigaline tired Springfield were able use the subs bench and further goals from Marc Jones and Dean O’Leary finished the game as a contest.
A great all round performance but special mention to Rhys Welham who was excellent on the day.
Thanks to Dean, Ben and Tony from the U12’s who helped on the day and to the supports who gave great encouragement on a very wet afternoon.
Umbro 16 Premier
Midleton (0)v Springfield Ramblers (3)
Springfield Ramblers completed the double in the East Cork derby with a comprehensive 3 nil win. Playing well within themselves they created numerous chances before Darren Murphy’s well struck 25 drive beat the home keeper. From a corner Adam O Sullivan doubled the lead and with 5mins to go to half time Keenan O Flynn scored the third. Springfield Ramblers took their foot of the pedal in the second half and wasted several chances to extend the lead.
Best on the day: Alex O Driscoll and Keenan O Flynn
