Under 8 League
Springfield Ramblers v Leeds
The team started this game very brightly & created some very good chances in the opening 15 minutes but were unlucky not to finish them. Morgan Dillion Hilton & Marc Jones kept the Leeds chances to a minimum at the back & after Kyle Furmedge made a critical save the team finally broke the dead-lock with a fine strike from Evan Roche. Leeds levelled the game within two minutes of the restart but with Tom Gill & Nathan O’Connell in midfield taking control of the game they went on to finish strongly with another 2 goals. This was a fine team performance a pleasure to see some great passing by all the lads. Thanks to Leeds for a great game & we wish them every success with their remaining games.
Springfield Ramblers v Corinthians
We started well in our game against Corinthians leading 2 goals to 1 after the first 15mins. The goals came from two great corners taken by Kealan scored by Jamie and Josh, both of which were headers. However from the start of the second period Corinthians took control and ran out comfortable winners in the end. However great determination was shown by all involved in what is a very hard group for us. Keep fighting lads and hopefully it will pay off soon.

Under 14 Division 1
Springfield Ramblers 0 Tramore 3
Springfield Ramblers suffered another loss to their bogey team in this Division 1 fixture at Pat O’Brien Park. We were missing three of our first team starters. The score was nil all at half time with both teams having scoring chances in the first half. Fifteen minutes into second half a soft goal from a corner led to us chasing the game and Tramore scored twice more before the end.

Under 15 Premier League
Ringmahon Rangers 2 Springfield Ramblers 1
Leeds 0 Springfield Ramblers 2
Springfield Ramblers Under 15s had a great win away to high flying Leeds. Daniel Santry scored two great goals and Shane Hallahan, David Curran and Paul Ronan were Ram’s best players. Our next league game was against league leaders Ringmahon. Ramblers started better and created a few early chances. David Cahill hit the crossbar with a great shot, and finally after great work by Tony O’Donovan he sent Ian Murphy through to score a brilliant goal. Some great defending by Marc Wyatt and Brendán Frahill kept Ringmahon scoreless. In the second half Ringmahon took control and finally scored the equaliser with five minutes to go. Football can be very cruel because in injury time Ringmahon scored the winner. Rams can count themselves very unlucky not to get at least a draw. This was a great game of football between two great teams. Adam Thompson & David Cahill stood out for Ramblers.

Springfield Ramblers 2 Killinardrish Coachford 0
This was a great result for the Springfield Ramblers Under 14 side against the League leaders after the midweek disappointment. We dominated the first half without creating any chances. Adam Devlin made a couple of very good saves. The second half was much the same but Jack Ronan followed up a through ball and the keeper saved at his feet but the ball broke to James O’Flynn and he slotted it home. We continued to press and were rewarded when Keith O Flynn got the second from close range. Best on the day were Graham O’Connor, Jack Ronan, and Adam Devlin.
