U15 National Cup
Springfield Ramblers 0 Wilton United 1
Springfield Ramblers went out of the National cup against a more committed Wilton united in Pat O’Brien Park on Saturday morning. Wilton scored with a fine free kick from the edge of the box and fully deserved their win. The club wish them all the best in the final rounds of the competition.
SUN DEC 2
U14 National Cup
Springfield Ramblers 0 Corinthian Boys 2
Springfield Ramblers bowed out of the National Cup beaten 2-0 by Premier League leaders College Corinthian’s but not without a fight. In a performance that was full of pride and passion and no end of skill Springers kept bringing the game to their higher ranked opponents and for long periods totally outplayed them. But missed chances and no luck added to our downfall. The scenes in the dressing room afterwards were heart-breaking but the lads should be very proud of their performance. (Now for promotion).
Umbro 14 Division 5
Glounthaune United 1 Cobh Ramblers 2
Cobh made it three wins in a row after this hard fought win in terrible conditions and an awful pitch in Glounthaune on Sunday morning. Goalscorers were Darren McKevitt and Peter Dennis.
Christmas Draw
The Springfield Ramblers Christmas Draw will take place on Friday December 7th. This is a very important fundraiser for the club. The club asks all players and parents to return draw cards as soon as possible, preferably for training sessions this week.
