Despite creating numerous chances & controlling the game in the first half the home team just couldn’t find the back of the net. Innisvilla scored a quick goal after the break on the counter attack followed by a penalty. Springfield pulled one back with a great header at the back post by Ciaran Griffin. Unfortunately the equaliser never came.

Excellent performance from every player in the squad today with great attacking play in the 2nd 15 mins. Also kept up their high standard of defence until the final whistle.
