At a special meeting of Cobh Municipal District held on Thursday, 12th August, the elected members agreed that given the ongoing issues with the pay parking machines in the town centre of Cobh, enforcement of pay parking is temporarily suspended with immediate effect. This will not impact on the existing time limits in place for parking in the town centre
Members have asked that signs be placed on the pay parking machines in the town to advise people of the suspension of pay parking. Members also agreed to ask Council management to ensure that the Council’s Wardens strictly enforce the time limits in place. Members have also asked for strict enforcement of illegal parking in the town centre.
There is no change to the charges which apply to the camper van parking area in the Five Foot Way.
