Breaking The Silence would like to say a sincere thank you to each person who worked so hard to make our Race Night on Saturday 15th June such a success! €2600 approx was raised with races being sponsored by the following businesses; Cobh Edition, Independent Mortgage Centre (IMC), Ryan Whelan Consultancy Services, MSD, Little Learners, Campbell Electrical & TV, Auntie Nellies and Avril Quinn Consulting. Spot prizes for the raffle were generously donated by Coral Leisure Cobh, Keen On Sport, Cherries Hair Salon, Garvey’s, The Commodore Hotel, Centra, Londis, Sarah O’Flynn, Supermacs, Ryngs, Unique, Right Price Meats and Ego 4 Kidz.
Our thanks to Ritchie McGrath for his very professional supply of the delicious Pig On The Spit, to Miram and her team at the Ballynoe Inn for their hardwork, to Michael Burns MC of the Race Night and to Yvonne Duffy, Cathy Lowry and Yvonne Mellerick Burke for being cashiers on the night. In addition to sponsoring a race, Mike Bardsley from Cobh Edition was the night’s DJ and a very enjoyable evening was had by all.
All of the monies from this fundraiser will go directly to the training of community members in Suicide Intervention and Prevention skills, and for information on upcoming courses with Breaking The Silence (all free of charge) please email training.breakingthesilence@gmail.com To keep up to date with group activities you can find us on facebook by searching for ‘Breaking The Silence Cobh’.
