The Green Step is a start up social enterprise based in Cobh, designed to help as many people take action in the face of the climate and biodiversity crisis. Our mission is to empower Cobh and the wider community to get engaged and make practical steps towards sustainability.
We’ve been working over the past few months to develop podcasts, meditations and workshops (find them here @ www.thegreenstep.ie ) and now we are launching a series of events.
Our first is a foraging walk on August 4th from 2-4.30pm in Marlogue woods with chef Klara. We’ll have a mindful walk through the woods while learning about what and how we can use plants from the woodland followed by a cooking demo. We’ll have another one on August 25th 2 – 4.30. Tickets are €12.50 and kids go free.
We’ll also have a music night in Seasalt cafe on August 16th from 7.30-10.30. There will be 3 local acts on the night Rua Rí, Conor & Eoin and Ed Lane. We’ll have zero waste foraged goodies to share and people can bring their own drink. €15pps.
