Cobh & Harbour Chamber’s launch their Shop Local Initiative this week. “Try Cobh First” is the slogan of this year’s campaign as customers are asked to shop in Cobh before heading further afield. “Cobh Retailers have a wide variety of goods on offer to the consumer at competitive rates with everything from handmade pottery to local art, trendy and designer clothing for children, women and men, vouchers for restaurants and other businesses and much much more” stated Kathleen Geary Chief Executive of the Chamber “We are asking shoppers to ‘Try Cobh first’ before going elsewhere and help support the local economy”.
In addition to the campaign and as a thank you to customers over 45 retail outlets in Cobh have joined the Cobh & Harbour Chamber’s shop local campaign and have contributed to a prize draw of over €2000 worth of vouchers which will be divided into a number of prizes. When a customer spends €5 or more they are in with a chance to win!! The competition will run until Saturday 18th December 2010 at which time the draw will take place.
