Value of Online and Offline Networking Highlighted by Catalyst Cobh Event

Business women from across East Cork area met in Fota House and Gardens on Wednesday recently for an evening of networking and online marketing tips hosted by the Catalyst Cobh networking group.

Margot Mulcahy of MDMpr provided attendees with insight into improving their online presence and tips for driving customers to your company’s website. MDMpr is a Munster based public relations and marketing consultant located in Cork.

Following the workshop attendees were treated to a guided tour of Fota House led by Rita Devlin and Debbie Walsh. The historic setting of Fota House and Gardens offers a peaceful and unique location for business meetings, conferences or team building events in East Cork. The house re-opened to the public in April 2009 after a major restoration project undertaken by the Irish Heritage Trust.

An impressive display of products were available from member businesses including Stonewell Cider; Cobh Sweet Expectations and Cobh Cards. Catering was provided by Truly Scrumptious.

Established in association with SECAD, Catalyst Cobh is now in its second year and host regular meetings. Next meeting will take place in November further details are available on the groups’ Facebook page www.facebook.com/CatalystCobh
