The League of Ireland and Virgin Media Television are delighted to announce the broadcast of the 2023 SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division Promotion / Relegation Play-Off on Virgin Media Television.
For the first time on free-to-air television in Ireland, Virgin Media Three will show the critical game which will be held on Friday, November 10.
Contested between the ninth placed team in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division and the winner of the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division Play-Off Series, the tie will determine who takes up a place in the top flight of Irish football for 2024.
In the opening ties of the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division Play-Off Series, Cobh Ramblers are taking on Wexford while second placed Waterford are playing fifth placed Athlone Town.
The winners of these ties will face each other live on LOITV on Saturday, November 4 in the fight for the place in the Promotion / Relegation Play-Off.
The game is Virgin Media Television’s seventh live broadcast of the 2023 season following six live shows in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division.
Cork City and Sligo Rovers are currently battling it out to avoid the ninth place spot with the Bit O’Red holding a six point advantage with three games remaining in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division.
