It is with great pride that Breaking The Silence can now confirm the group trained 913 people in Suicide Intervention Skills in 2012 on an entirely voluntary basis. Our proactive trainers, with the support of our committee, trained communities across Cork City and County and also delivered courses in Limerick and Kerry. We were able to do this through the exceptional fundraising that is done for our Group at local level, and now the Community can stand with us and be really proud of such a positive achievement in the midst of challenging times.
We strongly encourage anybody who is interested in completing free of charge training programmes in Suicide Intervention and Prevention to contact our Training Administrator Risteard Tobin on training.breakingthesilence@gmail.com and he will ensure you get all the information in relation to upcoming programmes. As always they are entirely free of charge. For updates on Breaking The Silence please check the facebook page “Breaking The Silence Cobh”.
