The 88th Season of hour-long recitals on the Grand Carillon of St Colman’s Cathedral in Cobh continues during July commencing at 4.30 on Sunday afternoons, as follows – July 12, 19 and 26. These recitals are presented by the Cobh Carillon Committee and grant aided by the Cork County Council.
They will be performed by Adrian Gebruers, Cathedral Carillonneur. The 49-bell Cobh Carillon is the only such instrument in the Republic and the largest in Ireland and Britain. Originally installed in 1915-16, this year and next marks the centenary of the Cobh bells – A hundred years a-ringing!
