Cobh Tidy Towns is delighted to announce details of Cobh’s Pride of Place competition 2015.
Following on from the successful Cobh Tidy District Awards, these new awards will seek to recognise the residential areas, streets and estates that contribute to Cobh’s improvement in the National Tidy Towns competition.
For 2015 every area will be automatically entered into the competition. The presentation of areas, including landscaping, litter control and the contribution of houses and gardens to the overall result will all be taken into account. The steps being taken to overcome problems and opportunities to enhance areas will also be noted and Awards of Merit with accompanying bursaries will make it worthwhile for all areas to enter into the spirit of the competition.
Judging will start on Friday 17th July and a shortlist for the final adjudication will be announced on Monday 20th July.
Final judging by Terry O’Regan will take place between Saturday 25th and Friday 31st July inclusive.
Cobh Credit Union is generously supporting this new competition as they have done with the Tidy Districts competition over many years.
The Gala Awards ceremony will be held in September.
