“Try Cobh First this Christmas”

Cobh & Harbour Chamber’s shop local initiative for 2010 “Try Cobh First this Christmas” is a big success!! Over 60 businesses have taken part and the response has been fantastic. There is over €3,000 worth of vouchers and the draw will take place in the Community Centre on Sunday 19^th December. There are 8 prizes of vouchers in all. The top prize on the night will be €1,000 worth of vouchers to be spent in Cobh. The other prizes include 2^nd €700, 3^rd €525, 4^th €300, 5^th €225, 6^th €150, 7^th €100 and 8^th €100.

We would like to thank those businesses who have participated and to you, the locals, who are “Trying Cobh First”. This should go someway to ensure local work for local people in the future.  The staff in the Cobh & Harbour Chamber have already done a number of runs to collect full boxes of completed receipts and re-distribute more which is a very good indication of just how successful this initiative has been.
