We had a very productive morning on Saturday with 10 volunteers out. The footpath along the High Road was swept and earth, leaves and branches were cleaned up. The old stone wall in Rushbrooke by the rowing club will be brought back to its former glory. This morning volunteers removed ivy and overgrowth from the wall and from areas where the walls have fallen down. Jim and Darren will continue to restore the walls. A work in progress but one which is vital to protect our beautiful stonework in Cobh.
Thank you to Lidl Cobh for their kind donation of 1200 spring bulbs which have been planted mostly out at Carrigaloe.Thank you to the responsible dog owners who bag and bin their dogs waste. Please remind those who do not that we would like to keep our streets clean of dog foul.See you again at 10.00am next Saturday by the playground on the Five Foot way.
