Umbro 12 Division 1
Midleton 1 Springfield Ramblers A 0
In a very evenly contested game in Midleton, Springfield Ramblers were unlucky not to come away with a point at least. Midleton started well and were the better team in the opening 10 mins. Springers came back into the game and passed the ball better. Against the run of play Midleton went a goal up. Springfield Ramblers to their credit kept fighting and all the best play came down the right hand side from Darragh Heelan and PJ O’Regan. At the break Midleton were leading 1 nil. Springfield Ramblers took the game to Midleton but to their credit the Midleton defence were outstanding.  Midleton took control of the game and pressed forward at every chance and would have increased their lead only for the outstanding PJ O’Regan at right full and goalkeeper Adam Stanton who pulled off a couple of great saves when Midleton were straight through on goal. Springfield Ramblers kept trying to get back into the game but were caught out going forward and would have been two down only for a great clearance off the line from Mark Canty. Best for Springfield were PJ O’Regan, Adam Stanton, and Edward O’Mathuna.

U12 Girls
Springfield Ramblers 3 Wilton 1
Having been beaten by Wilton in their last encounter the girls showed how much they have improved as a unit. They played a very attacking game and when needed the defence displayed some well-timed tackles along with two superb saves from Megan Bell in goal. At the other end Lauren Egbuloniu scored her second hat-trick of the season to ensure all 3 points for Springfield Ramblers. It was yet again another great team performance. The girls now play Carrigaline away on the 26th in the quarter final of the cup.
