Springfield Ramblers (1) v Leeds, (4)

U13 National Cup
Springfield  Ramblers A (2) Ringmahon ( 12)
Springfield were against it from the off against their premier opponents who really attacked them from the kick off. All credit to Springers who kept trying to play good football and they got on the score sheet through a great goal by Alex Mc Carthy, and the second goal scored by Brian Danaj. Jamie Kelly gave a great performance on the right of midfield and when moved into the centre of the park he was involved in everything good that Springers done. Again credit must go to the lads who kept fighting all the way to the final whistle.

Springfield Ramblers B (0) v Springfield Ramblers Premier (10)
A tough day was always in store in this most local of cup derbies. With a gulf of five divisions between the teams it was always going to be hard to get a result.  The premiership team showed their class early on and took the lead within 5mins. They continued to dominate and led 7-0 at half time. In the second half the home team showed great spirit and held their Premier league opponents at bay for the first 15mins before conceding again. They continued to hold their shape and to their credit kept on playing to the final whistle even managing some promising attacks. Congrats to John Griffin and his team and best of luck in the next round. Special mention to Niall Sexton who had his first match in goal and made some great saves despite the scoreline, better days will lie ahead.

U15 National Cup
Cobh Ramblers (3) v Carrigaline Hibernians, (2)
Scorers John Gardiner, Aaron Dolan and Jamie Hamilton. This was a great result for Cobh beating a strong Carrigaline team who are two divisions ahead of them.  Every one of the players played their part in the win. Well done lads.

Umbro 12 Premier
Midleton (2) v Springfield Ramblers, (1)
Great performances by David Sloane, Tom Ring and man of the match Jake Walsh.
A great hearty and committed performance by all the lads where every ball was fought for and every tackle committed. Players gave their all.  Midleton scored two goals in second half with Tom Hurley scoring a late consolation goal and Springfield Ramblers finishing the better side.
Sam Fashola (ex Springfield Ramblers) scored the winner for Midleton. We wish him-all the best! Our first league win is just around the corner, well done lads!

Umbro 12 Division 5
Springfield Ramblers B (2) v St. Mary’s B, (1)
First half was hard fought with a lot defending as St. Marys pressed hard and eventually got a well-deserved goal. Second half Cobh sprang back to life getting the ball down the pitch and passing well. A well worked move starting from the back saw Cobh draw level with a well taken goal from Matthew Khan Moss.  Marys were unlucky not too score a second but there was some great defending by Hugh Scannell and great goal keeping from Ben Barrett to keep them at bay. With 10mins to go after a corner the ball broke to Evan Scannell who hit an unstoppable shot from outside the box to give Cobh the win. A great battling overall team performance with best on the day Hugh Scannell and Evan Scannell giving man of the match performances. Well done to all.

Umbro 14 Division 2
St. Mary’s (2) v Springfield Ramblers, (1)
Goal scorer Anthony Otokiti.
The lads were very unlucky to lose this game as they had the lion’s share of the game. Two disallowed goals discouraged the team and they found it hard to keep their heads up.  On another day Springfield Ramblers could have come away with the 3points.  Everyone played well on the day.

Umbro 16 Premier
Springfield Ramblers (0) v Carrigaline United, (0)
Best were Adam O Sullivan, Keenan O Flynn and Conor Hughes. A game of few chances with both defences in top form.  Adam Horgan had a great shot saved with a few mins left. Adam o Sullivan and Alex O Driscoll were excellent again in what is there 3rd clean sheet in a row.
