The Cobh St. Patrick’s Day Parade will leave The Bench at 3.30 pm on St. Patrick’s Day Parade and is set to rival last year’s Parade as one of the biggest and best ever seen in Cobh.
The festivities will start on the reviewing stand at 3.10 pm with live music from Buster Luscombe. After the Parade the main prizewinners in the Cobh Credit Union draw will be announced by the chairman of the Credit Union Terry Anderson. One lucky person will drive away in a brand new car! Live traditional music will be provided afterwards.
It is still not too late to enter the Parade. Entry forms may be downloaded from www.seeyouincobh.com and should be returned to Ursula Duffy without delay.
The St. Patrick’s Eve Irish Concert will be held in the Great Island Community Centre on Tuesday night at 8pm. Organised by the See You in Cobh committee it will feature the finest up and coming and established Cobh talent with an Irish flavour to get people in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day. Tickets costing just €10 are still available from the Commodore Hotel and will also be available at the door.
