Cobh Tidy Towns recently received a very generous contribution of €3500 from Cobh Credit Union that will be specifically used for the Cobh – Great Island Tidy Districts competition 2013. This competition is an essential element of the strategy to reach the ultimate goal of Cobh becoming Ireland’s Tidiest Town.
Almost €2000 worth of vouchers make their way back to the community as prizes, with the balance used for the judge’s fee, printing and the Awards ceremony. Entry forms for this year’s competition will be available in the middle of April to motivate people to start making an extra effort in advance of the judging of Ireland’s Best Kept Town competition in May and the National Tidy Towns competition from June onwards.
