Members of Cobh Triathlon Club were out in force testing out winter training at recent duathlons and road races. In the Fota Duathlon Michael Bruton came first in his age category and was the 4th man home. He missed out on a podium spot by 10 seconds. Pat Bruton was 1st in his age category and 7th man home. Other age category winners included Fergal Quinlan 2nd in categaory, Cath O Regan 3rd in category and Jess Bruton 3rd in her age category.
Other top 10 category positions for Stephen Barry and Billy O’Connell. Plenty of other club members also had great races on the day. Congrats too to Markk McGarry who recently retained his duathlon title in Schull.
Other club members took part in the famed Ballycotton 10 mile road race. With the sunshining on a bright spring day many fast times were achieved. Well done to all.
With the Duathlon season in full swing good luck to all members in the coming weeks.
