Cobh S.A.C will host it’s 50th International Deep Sea Angling Festival which will take place from Sept 5th – 9th 2016. Competitors from England, Wales, Holland, Poland and Ireland, will compete, and not without the usual pressure to win the €1,000 prize for the overall winner of the Competition. There are also an array of other prizes up for grabs during the week long event.
The Boats will depart each Morning at 10am and return at 6pm each day with the exception of Friday when they will depart Cobh at 9am. After each day’s fishing, the anglers will meet at the pub who has sponsored that particular day and listed as follows: Monday, Trade Winds. Tuesday, Ryans Bar. Wednesday, Commodore Hotel and Thusday it’s Kellys Bar, so if you’re out an about why not stop by and welcome them to Cobh.
We also play host to the European Championships from Sept 19th – 23rd, which will see over 100 anglers from all over Europe take part in this prestigious event. This will be the third time that Cobh has hosted the championships.
