Wexford Youths v Drogheda United for the SSE Airtricity League promotion/relegation play-offs

Wexford Youths will face Drogheda United in the 2016 Promotion/Relegation play-off fixture. Youths finished 11th in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division whilst Drogheda made it past Cobh Ramblers in the First Division play-offs. Pete Mahon’s side won the two-legged fixture 3-2 on aggregate to progress to the promotion/relegation play-offs with Gareth McCaffrey’s second-half strike proving vital.
Drogheda United will now travel to Ferrycarrig Park on Monday, October 31st with kick-off at 7.45pm for the first leg. Youths will travel to United Park on Friday, November 4th with kick-off at 7.45pm for the second leg as both sides bid for Premier Division football next season.
