The Metropole Hotel Cork has been named the Best Cork Hotel at the Cork Business of the Year Awards.
The Cork Business of the Year Awards are organised by the Cork Business Association (CBA) and recognise the outstanding contribution to Cork City of businesses in various sectors. The awards took place on Saturday the 23rd of February.
General Manager of the Metropole Hotel, Roger Russell said, “We are delighted and honoured to receive this award which acknowledges the exceptional dedication of the team at the hotel. We are looking forward to a very exciting and successful year ahead in our prime location in the Victorian Quarter”
“We had a fantastic 2018 at the Metropole Hotel and that is thanks to our valued customers and our loyal and hardworking team. One of the highlights of 2018 was the launch of The MET, which is the hotel’s new Bar, Restaurant and Tea Room. It is the latest part of the recent extensive refurbishment which has taken place at the hotel. This also includes the refurbishment of all 108 bedrooms earlier in the year.
“We also hosted some fantastic events at the hotel in the past year including many profile events that include, the Murphy’s Oyster & Seafood Festival and the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival… the home of the jazz.”
The Metropole Hotel is part of Trigon Hotels, which has 334 guest rooms across three hotels in Cork. The group also comprises of the Cork International Hotel and the Cork Airport Hotel.
