Paul Kestell’s seventh book, is a novella. This takes a radical look at Ireland, at the end of the Covid pandemic. A dying woman, retreats to an isolated cottage in Mayo. She is trying to finish her first fiction novel. She has contracted Covid. Her world becomes muddled between her fiction, and her life memories. Powered by soaring tempetures fiction, and fact, become blurred. Kestell weaves a journey from Cork to Mayo. With stark memories, of childhood, and growing up, in this radical study of modern neoliberal Ireland.
“Its a relatively short book, but it packs a powerful punch.” [Clearview Fiction Editing]
