Below is an article from the Echo on Friday 19th November, whereby leading cancer expert Dr.Harry Comber says Cobh cancer rates are not linked to the toxic site at Haulbowline. He goes on to say that concern’s have been raised by the presence of Chromium 6 at the site but noted that Chromium 6 leads to lung cancer, and of the four main cancer types, lung cancer showed the smallest increase in Cobh Town. An interesting read to say the least and I’m surprised, although I may be wrong, that this doesn’t appear to have been picked up by pressure groups.
