Cobhman Cathal Rasmussen has been chosen to take over and fill the vacant Cork County Council Labour Party seat left by the recent retirement of John Mulvihill Snr. Speaking at the co-opting event in Cobh last week Mr Rassmssen said ” I’m very honoured to at being chosen to as the co-opted nominee to replace John Mulvihill Snr as a Labour representative on Cork County Council. John has worked hard for many years for the greater good of the people of Cobh and I would like to thank him for all his efforts over so many years. He’s left very big shoes to fill and I hope to continue his fine work in the years ahead.”
