The Chamber held its annual general meeting recently at which Michael Martin officially ended his term in office and passed on the mantle to incoming President elect John Sweeney. In his address Michael Martin congratulated the incoming President and thanked the Chamber Executive, Members and staff for their support over the past two …years.
Newly elected President John Sweeney paid tribute to his predecessor and stated that although the business community was struggling with the current economic downturn he encouraged member to member business and stated that mutual support was vital in these times. He said he looked forward to his term in office and is honoured to be President of the Cobh & Harbour Chamber. “I will be looking to forge closer links with the various other bodies in the area and look forward to the challenges ahead”.
