All of our teams playing this week won, and won well, although the u16 result, Cobh 1.01 to 0.02 may not show this, our girls just could not convert a major advantage in the possession and territory stakes into scores on the board, the long drive to our hosts Banteer may have had an impact on our scorers. Our juniors played Grenagh on Thurs evening and notched up a fantastic score of 3.14 to no reply. Our u14 girls had a very entertaining victory against St Catherines where our hosts even tried to move the goalposts to try us. Camogie skill was to the fore in this top of the league clash, with Cobh’s tenacity and drive seeing us clear winners on a scoreline of 6.05 to 4.01.
A great big Thank You to Ryng’s, Harrington’s Motor Mart, Ryan’s Bar, Beauty Chambers, AIB Cobh and Dynea for your generous sponsorship of our club jersey’s and recent donations. Thank you also to all who sponsored prizes in our Easter Draw, all winners and sponsors listed below. We all in Cobh Camogie greatly appreciate this and strongly encourage all our members and families to SUPPORT these locals businesses.
