COMMUNITY CENTRE MANAGER – 34 WEEKS MATERNITY COVER
Cobh (Great Island) Community Centre provides space for sporting, social and cultural groups.
The Centre Manager will report to the Chairman of the Board of Management and will be responsible for developing the centre to its full potential. The ideal candidate should:
. Be a team player and be able to demonstrate ability to manage people.
. Be able to demonstrate ability to manage the project, including finances.
. Have a good standard of education.
. Be computer literate.
. Have a good knowledge of first-aid and health and safety issues.
. Be familiar with Child Protection Legislation.
. Be able to work flexible hours.
COMMUNITY CENTRE CARETAKER
The Caretaker will report to the Centre Manager of Cobh (Great Island) Community Centre and the ideal candidate should:
. Be a team player and be able to demonstrate ability to run the centre in conjunction with paid and voluntary staff.
. Help to maintain the centre and its surrounds to a high standard.
. Help to set up and prepare for various activities held in the centre.
. Undertake any other duties allocated by the Manager.
These posts are funded by the Community Services Programme and managed by Pobal on behalf of the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
