Not the best weekend for the Club with mixed results. On Sat both teams travelled to Limerick with depleted teams. Div 4 short four regulars took on the league contenders in the semi final of the Cup. Cobh lost another player to injury for most of the first half but even still they took the game to Limerick and had several shots on goal. However it was Limerick who took the lead after a short corner. They made it 2-0 when they broke through for a one on one with the Cobh goalie but Cobh showing their spirit came back with a great individual goal from Capt Aoife Richardson. With the atrocious weather continuing in the second half Cobh did their best to get on level terms but it was Limerick who sealed the win with a well worked corner.
In a double header Div 6 took on the home side with only ten players for most of the match. Despite this they had some great moves and it was only after about 20mins that Limerick scored a somewhat fortuitous goal. Cobh threw everything at Limerick and only for their goalie pulling off four saves in a row they would have been on level terms. Despite their best efforts however the game ended in a very disappointing 1-0 loss. On Sunday they played host to Belvedere and this proved to be a very tough encounter. They went ahead after about 20 mins when Capt Caroline Green took on the defence and hit a cracking shot to the net. They held the lead until about ten mins to go when Belvedere scored an equaliser with a shot from the edge of the circle. Cobh almost had the winner shortly after but the ball was just wide and the game ended in a share of the points.
