CTT2On a very busy weekend in Cobh with the arrival of the Liners we had 15 volunteers out and about. The HighRoad was swept on both sides from the Whitepoint Crossroad to Leonard’s Lodge. Bishops Road was swept. The gate into the crypt under the Cathedral was welded as were a bar from the Rock railings and a flower basket pole by the Cathedral. More work was done on the grotto at Cuskinny Hill. Some bright bedding plants were planted at Belvelly Bridge. Judging takes place in May for the ‘Best Kept Town in Ireland’. Cobh is one of 13 towns in the whole of Ireland selected to take part.You can help by binning your litter,sweeping outside your door, planting your window boxes and painting gates,doors or walls.

This week entry forms for the Cobh and Great Island Tidy Districts Competition 2013 will be available from Cobh Credit Union and Cobh Town Council Offices. Please pick up an entry form and play your part in helping us get closer to our collective goal of making Cobh Ireland’s Tidiest Town!
