ttWhat a productive day in Cobh on Saturday! A huge thanks to Gary and all in Great Island Motors for organising a fundraising day for Cobh Tidy Towns. We raised EUR251 with 52 car washes! Thank you to everyone for their generosity. People gathered on the coast of Great Island for Clean Coast week and we gathered rubbish at Carrigaloe, Cuskinny, beach at the Bench and Kennedy Pier camber. A trailer load of seaweed was gathered at the camber which will be used for compost. We are unique among many other towns as we are located on our own island. Our coast provides such beautiful scenery and a wonderful amenity for sports and leisure. We have ensured it can be enjoyed at its best by all. Thank you to all who came out on Saturday.

Forms are now available at Cobh Credit Union and Cobh Town Council Offices for the Cobh and Great Island Tidy Districts Competition 2013. Those who wish to enter must fill in an entry form take part in this marvellous event. Tuesday meetings have recommended at 6.30pm by the playground in Whitepoint. Join in the effort to make Cobh even more beautiful. We have lots of jobs to complete before the judging for National Tidy Towns starts on 1st June. Cobh needs you!
