New Exhibitions
Yesterday’s Child
Cobh Museum has re-created a popular exhibition from 1983 to mark the 40th anniversary of the opening of the museum in 1973. “Yesterday’s Child” is an exhibition of toys, many no longer in fashion and many still popular with Today’s Child.
Leaving ~ Living
For centuries people have been leaving Cobh to live in countries all around the world. Some of these people returned to the town but many never came back. We tell a selection of stories to reflect the ordinary and sometimes extraordinary lives of just a few of these people.
All are welcome to come and see our new Exhibitions and sign the “Leabhar Mór na Cruinne”, the “Great Book of the Gathering”. Visitors to the museum and returning families are invited to place a dedication in this book which will be on display in Cobh Museum throughout the year.
