Twenty volunteers were out Saturday morning, and some remained for the whole day painting and preparing railings at the Cathedral. Apart from regular Tidy Towns volunteers a significant number of new volunteers turned up in answer to a request
from the church to assist with the painting of the railings. Cobh Tidy Towns is delighted to be involved in what is a wider community effort on this landmark building and premier tourist attraction in Cobh. Litter was collected from the Burma steps on Saturday and Sunday morning as well as the Five Foot Way,Whitepoint, Lower Road and approach roads to Cobh from Belvelly.
