Cobh Tidy Towns prepare for Spring

Last week ‎10 volunteers came out on Tuesday evening and continued with jobs around Cobh.More of the railings were painted along the Five Foot Way, Midleton Street was swept of litter and cigarette butts while the containers along the footpath beneath the Cathedral were planted with winter pansies and spring bulbs.This will add to the colour around Cobh in the Spring.On Saturday 9 volunteers carried out a variety of tasks. Poles and bollards were painted black from Ticknock ,Top of the Hill and around to Small’s Well as well as at Whitepoint. 5 more cigarette butt receptacles were fitted to the top of litter bins in town.Transformer boxes, including the one by Whartons shop, were painted.Litter was picked by Carrignafoy and the area around Park Road.

We meet on Saturdays at 10am and Tuesdays at 6.30pm by the playground at the Five foot way. All welcome!
