Fota _4If you’re looking for family-friendly fun next week then head to the Irish Open, where a magical experience and five days of adventure have just been announced for children.

Supernova Kids Zone will be the ultimate place for young people aged 4 – 13 years to hang out and will be located at the main entrance at Fota Island Resort for the duration of Ireland’s greatest golfing event.

Adventure, excitement and more fun than you can handle, Supernova’s Mr McCool and his pals invite youngsters to join them in their own supervised kid’s haven, whilst the adults enjoy the on course fun.

With weather no obstacle, Supernova has transported its own obstacle course to Cork for the kids and with fun characters and a world of adventure awaiting at Fota Island Resort – it’s a guaranteed day of fully-supervised fun for all the children.

Antonia Beggs, Championship Director of the Irish Open said, “With children under 16 admitted free to the Irish Open; with Fota Wildlife Park right next door to the course and now with the addition of Supernova Kids Zone, the Irish Open truly is an event for all the family. We would love to see as many children as possible joining us in Cork and experiencing not only some great golf, but also some really exciting activities and adventures.”

The 2014 Irish Open takes place on the Jeff Howes-designed course at Fota Island Resort, offering great value for a full day’s entertainment with advance tickets priced at €30 for an Adult Day Ticket (€35 on the gate) and €70 for Adult Season Tickets (€80 on the gate). Children under 16 go free when accompanied by an adult.
