Great Island First Responders are an emergency on call group linked to the HSE Ambulance service. We are dispatched by Ambulance Control. We have been volunteering in Cobh now for over 5 years, all through fundraising and our Volunteer First Responders. We are holding an information night on Thursday 25th at 7.45pm in Cobh GAA Hall for anyone interested in joining the Great Island First Responders. We will then be holding training day on August 10th, this will be a fully certified course by the HSE and PHECC.
A special thanks to Cllr. Jim Quinlan and Cobh Town Council for the funding, enabling us to train more people in Cobh.
Anyone who requires any further information can contact Chairperson Annmarie Hurley at 085-8243793 or Secretary Carl Conneely at carl_conneely@yahoo.co.uk or 083-3193901.
