IndieCork have now made a number of shorts programmes free to view on their online platform, sponsored by Blacknight Solutions
Great Cork Shorts
This is an archival programme of exceptional shorts made in Cork, originally screened on the recent Culture Night.
They include the first short made by Damian Mc Carthy, director of the opening film Caveat, He Dies in The End
Padraig Trehy’s My First Motion Picture
Brian Stynes Before The Car Arrives
Sean Breathnach’s Gothic Horror, Mother Father, Monster and, from 50 years ago, They Said It Didn’t They? directed by Joe McCarthy.
Manifestations of Fear: International Horror Shorts
This programme showcases contemporary horrifying short films dealing with the fear of humankind and the terror of technology. While exploring some of the ways in which danger can be exposed to us in our everyday lives, it also asks the viewer to question their own awareness of the potential danger they may encounter.
Homemade: Lockdown Stories
This programme is a fascinating document on life during lockdown. With creativity (and cinematic cleverness) the filmmakers transcend the limitations of social distancing and other COVID restrictions. Here you see drama, comedy, horror, documentary, imaginative and revelatory films about what life was/is like in such times.
With films by Ladj Ly (Les Misérables), France, Nadia Tass (Malcolm), Australia, John Smith (Girl Chewing Gum) UK, and many Irish filmmakers.
To access the films simply register through indiecork.com
