My wife and I were on the Queen Victoria and were in Cobh on 7th May, we were taken aback and delighted at the warmth and friendliness of everyone we met in the town.
While walking to the Old Cemetery everyone said ‘Hello’ to us. One gentleman we met even offered to swop me his hat so I could have his one with a bottle opener, but as my wife had just bought mine I had to decline. It lifts your spirits and without doubt this was the friendliest Port we stopped at. Everyone seemed delighted to have visitors and there was only one surprising exception.
Thank you Cobh for a wonderful experience,
Ray & Sandra McHugh
