Cobh’s Michael Martin has been nominated as an MSL Cork Business person of the Year. The annual awards for 2012 will take place this Friday the 9th Nov. at a ceremony in Cork. Guest of Honour will be An Tanaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Eamon Gilmore. Michael is one of 12 nominees chosen throughout the year and one of them will be selected as the overall winner on Friday.
The No.1 Media Group and organisers of The MSL Cork Business Person of the Year Awards annual ceremony state that they seek to promote all that is good and positive about doing business in Cork City and County. Michael was nominated for his contribution over many years to Cobh and in particular his work in connection with the Titanic Trail Heritage Activities and his long time efforts in developing Cobh’s Tourism Industry. When notified earlier this week Michael said ‘I am honoured and touched to be a nominee in such a prestigious award scheme’. The overall winner will be announced at the ceremony on Friday. Fingers in Cobh are crossed til then.
