Our Annual School Walk took place on Sunday 16th October. A large crowd turned out on what was a lovely morning for a walk! We would like to thank all the walkers, the sponsors and the following people who helped out on the day – the Parents’ Association, the School Staff, the Minihane Family, Matt McCarthy & Ursula Duffy. Thanks also to Ray Keating who came to our aid when we ran short of drinks and to Lord Mayor and ex pupil Jim Quinlan for starting us off on the walk.
Here are the results of the sponsors’ draw –
Sponsors’ Draw – 1st (€60) Kahlum O’Byrnes, 2nd (€40 Shopping Voucher) Eileen O’Regan, 3rd (€25 voucher) Mrs Walker, 4th (Large Box of Chocolates) Lauren O’Shea, 5th (Bottle of Wine) Ann Murphy. The total amount raised was an astounding €6,200. We are very thankful to all involved as this is our major fund raising event of the year. The money raised will be of great benefit in furthering the education of all the pupils. Mile buiochas.
