South and East Cork Area Development (SECAD) wants to hear from charities, community groups and certain businesses to understand their challenges and support requirements. The organisation is interested in hearing from social entrepreneurs, charities and community groups.
Social enterprises are organisations that have a social ethos that makes some of its income through trading or business activity. Examples of social enterprises include organisations such as Meals on Wheels, Tidy Towns groups, community sports and entertainment groups, among others.
“Social enterprises are an important part of our community life, and need to be supported. We want to understand their needs and requirements so we can potentially develop support structures for these organisations and help them to develop successfully”, said Ryan Howard, CEO SECAD.
