The recent good weather has us all motivated once again to get fit and raise funds for a great cause and I think we will all agree that Suicide Prevention is such a cause. There has been lots of enquiries in relation to our Second Annual Walk for Life and Breaking The Silence are delighted with the interest level. There are still opportunities to get involved and the Fundraising Packs are now available! To register for this beautiful 16K walk from Sneem to Kenmare on Sat 12th May email fundraisingbts@gmail.com Don’t forget that dinner is available after the walk in the Kenmare Bay Hotel and there are showers etc. available for Walkers.
In the event that you are unable to take part in this Walk but would like to make a donation to Breaking The Silence our bank account details are as follows:
Breaking The Silence Account,
AIB, Westbeach, Cobh, Co. Cork.
Account Number 07278125 Sort Code 93-40-62
Breaking The Silence is a Cobh based voluntary that helps to create a Suicide Safer Community by connecting the person at risk of Suicide with life preserving resources. The group aims to listen, educate, support and train the community on Suicide. We are an entirely voluntary Community Group and without the support of the Community we could not do the work that we do. Numerous Safe Talk and ASIST Training Programmes have already taken place this year and plans are in motion to deliver many more Training Programmes for the remainder of the year.
For information on upcoming courses and activities with Breaking The Silence please email breakingthesilencobh@gmail.com and to keep up to date with group activities you can find us on facebook by searching for ‘Breaking The Silence Cobh’.
