SAT NOV 10

Umbro 13 Division 2

Springfield Ramblers v Macroom
This was a great result from an ever improving team, our second win back to back. Throughout, the team every fought hard for this win. The goal was scored after some great work down the left by Ciaran Fleming who released Luke Quinn whose shot was parried by the keeper but Con Lynch was on hand to put it onto the back of the net. Again well done to everyone on the day

U12 Girls

Kay McGrath Cup
Bandon 1 Springfield Ramblers 6)
This was a fantastic result with Amy burns scoring a hat trick and Lauren Egbuloniu scoring 2 and Erin Leahy scoring the final goal of the game. Another fantastic performance from all the team.

SUN NOV 11

U12 Danone National Cup

Ballincollig 1 Springfield Ramblers 0
Despite creating numerous chances Springfield Ramblers just could not find the back of the net. Ballincollig fought hard for every ball & got their goal mid-way through the 2nd half. Springfield pushed on but just couldn’t find the elusive equaliser. We would like to wish Ballincollig good luck in the next round. Best on the day: Diarmuid Kearney who always looked very dangerous on the ball & Morgan Dillon Hilton who organised very well at the back.

U14 National Cup

Everton 3 Springfield Ramblers 1
Springfield Ramblers got the better of Everton in this National Cup tie winning on a score line of 3-1. Jack McCarthy scored a hat trick and best on the day were Dylan Higgins, and centre back pairing Evan Mahony and Robert O Connor.

Springfield Ramblers goals were scored by George Gill and Sean Richardson.

11 Group 2

Innishvilla v Springfield Ramblers A
Springfield Ramblers played Innishvilla away on Saturday 10th . Innishvilla started very well and went two goals up within ten minutes. Ramblers came back at them but couldn’t find the net and by half time were three down. Springfield Ramblers came out for the second half a very different team and put the game to the opposition, pushed up the pitch and a break from defence found winger Sam Fashola on the right who went past two players and played a great ball into their box which fell to Dean o’Leary to slot home.

Springfield Ramblers kept up the pressure and with an identical run down the right Sam Fashola laid the ball across goal for full back John Breen to bury into the net.  Ramblers didn’t stop there and fought for an equalizer but the Innishvilla keeper made some excellent saves through the game and kept them out. With five minutes left Innishvilla got a fourth goal and finished the game. It was a well fought game from both teams with some lovely football
