Springfield Ramblers (7) v Everton (1)
SR’s started well and went on to dominate this game winning comfortably 7-1. Everton played far better than their recent results might have indicated.  Harry Ellis got 2, Alex Lynch 2, Peter Ziga 1, Harry Danaj 1, and one OG.  Every one played very well and the defence let nothing past.  MOTM Rory Pierce, who ran from start to finish and cut off all their supply to the forwards.

Umbro 13 Division 2
Springfield Ramblers A (1) v Macroom (4)
Springers were 1 down after 5 mins but showed great spirit to get a goal back through a great strike from Alex Mc Carthy after some neat work by Brian Danaj.  Macroom were gifted a second goal through some poor defending.  Springers were still in the game but they never really threatened the Macroom goal, they played some good football at times and Jamie Kelly again was at the centre of everything they produced.

Macroom again were gifted the other two goals through some very bad defending.  Best for Springers were Jamie Kelly and Alex Mc Carthy.

Umbro 13 Division 5
Lakewood Athletic A (2) v Springfield Ramblers B (3)
A delighted Springfield enjoyed their second away win in a row on a very heavy pitch in Lakewood. The match started with Springfield getting on top possession wise but it was Lakewood who took the lead 10mins in. Springfield however kept playing football with Evan O’Leary and Cian Doherty dominating the midfield but it was two well taken goals considering a very difficult playing surface by Brad Stapleton that gave Springfield a 2-1 half time lead. Lakewood started the second half well but Springfield defence backed up by some fine saves from Niall Sexton kept them at bay until the equaliser from a well struck free kick.

This setback seemed to stir the young Springfield side who went on the attack and after some fine team play man of the match Brad Stapleton scored the his third. Substitutes Jack Hughes and Luke Murphy came on to help the tiring team hold on for a deserved victory.

Springfield Ramblers (1) v Corinthian Boys (7)

Umbro 15 Division 4
Cobh Ramblers (3) v Corinthian Boys A (1)
The result sees Ramblers leapfrog Corinthians to the top of the table with a game in hand on their closest rivals.  This was a fairly even game, the difference being that Cobh defended well when they had to and took their chances when they came.  Scorers Dave Brennan with a shot from the halfway line (we know you meant it Dave). Peter Dennis scored another with a great free kick and Aaron Dolan got the third.   Best on the day was John Gardiner

Umbro 11 Division 3
Douglas Hall A (5) v Springfield Ramblers A(0)

Umbro 12 Premier
Ringmahon Rangers (2) v Springfield Ramblers (2)
Springfield Ramblers league finally got off to a start with a well-deserved point away to second place Ringmahon.  The attitude, determination and excellent football played by the team at times were great. Goals by Philippe O Sullivan and Fionn Duggan. All 14 players excellent on the day, thanks to travelling support as always! Joint Man of the match performances by Kevin Foster O’Reilly and Fionn Duggan.
