Springfield Ramblers 2 Carrigaline United 0
Adam Horgan was the match winner again scoring one goal and providing the pass for Cian Darcy for the other of two superb goals. Captain Adam O’Sullivan controlled the defence with great organisation where Sean Hillard’s tough tackling also stood out. Barry Chandler put in a very hard working performance and wingers Cian Darcy and Ciaran Ahern also put in great displays. Carrigaline who started the game as league leaders were always in the game but Ramblers team spirit and hard work was very evident in their display. Once again star man Hoggy was exceptional in front of goal to go along with his hard work for the team. Overall it was a great team performance from all the lads to win by a scoreline of two goals to nil.

Springfield Ramblers v Avondale United
This was a great win for the team getting our first win against an unbeaten Avondale. A big well done to all players on the day including unused subs. Hopefully we can kick on from here. Springfield Ramblers goal was scored by Jamie Gilmartin.
11 Group 2
Kilreen Celtic v Springfield Ramblers A
Springfield Ramblers U12s played away to Kilreen on Saturday. Springfield Ramblers started very well and went one up within ten minutes when after some good passing around the pitch our midfielder Tom Ring received a pass, looked up and placed the ball through the defence for Evan Scannell to run on to and strike the ball to the right of the Kilreen keeper and into the net. Kilreen came back at us and before half time they equalized. Kilreen kept up the pressure in the second half and went ahead after ten minutes; Ramblers fought back well but could not find the net. Kilreen got a third with five minutes left and put the game out of reach. Ramblers played their part in a very good game and can come away with their heads held high.

Passage 0 Springfield Ramblers 0
Both sides played some great football and both came so close to scoring to break the deadlock. The best chance of the game fell to Emily Keating whose strike from distance was saved by the keeper to prevent the winning goal. Hard work from the midfield players and some well-timed tackles by the defence ensured the game finished in a nil all draw. This was a great team performance.

Springfield Ramblers 3 Wilton United 0
Another great win for the lads. This was a very tight game against a strong Wilton side. The game was 1 nil at half time after an excellent goal by Nathan O’Connell who, after making a great run lobbed the stranded Wilton keeper. The 2nd half was again very tight with Wilton pressing hard for an equaliser but the whole team worked very hard to keep them at bay. The defence put in a great shift with superb displays from Colin Lane and Morgan Dillon Hilton especially. Their defending, along with 2 exceptional saves from our keeper Jamie Bates was the main catalyst for this win. The 2nd goal came direct from a free kick. The free was 10 yards outside the Wilton area and was struck beautifully by Tom Gill and sailed into the top corner giving the keeper no chance. The 3rd goal was scored by Cian Walker who worked very hard after coming on with 20 mins to go and took his goal very well again lobbing the keeper after another great run. Evan Roche and Fionn Duggan also came off the bench with 15 mins to go to shore up the midfield as some of the other lads tired.

Greenwood 6 Springfield Ramblers A 1
Again this Springfield Ramblers team did themselves proud with a battling display against table toppers Greenwood. They were very unfortunate to be 3 down at half time. In the second half Springers pushed forward to try to get back into the game. After a great break forward from midfield David Sloane put the ball out wide to Emmanuel O’Neal who then beat the defender and took a great shot which beat the keeper only to hit the post. This gave Springfield Ramblers a bit of heart and they kept plugging away to get on the score sheet. Eventually they got what they deserved with a great strike from Emmanuel O’Neal from outside the box beat the keeper into the top corner. Tobi Oshikija gave a great display at the heart of the Springfield Ramblers defence. This team should be proud of their performance and the game was much closer than the score-line suggests.
Umbro 14 Division 1
Strand United 1 Springfield Ramblers 3
Away to Strand Utd over the weekend Springfield Ramblers put in a good team performance to win 3.1 with goals from Eoin Meaney (2) and a 25 yard rocket from man of the match Dylan Higgins. Best on the day were Eoin Barry and Cian Roche.
Umbro 16 Premier
Springfield Ramblers 1 Kilreen Celtic 0
Scorer: Rob Hughes. This was a top drawer team display in this top of the table game. Superb all round performances from all the players.
