Umbro 12 Division 4
Springfield Ramblers B 0 Midleton A 2
The home team played very well against a good Midleton team. Midleton had the Springfield Ramblers side on the back foot for periods of the game but our defence stood up to them where Sean Butler had a great performance. Others that stood out were Cian Donnachie and Ger Devlin.

Avondale United 1 Springfield Ramblers 7
Springfield Ramblers U15s rotation policy worked again after they continued their winning run away to Avondale Utd. Centre forward Cian Darcy scored two splendid goals after good work by Simon Doyle and Ciaran Ahern. Great defending from skipper Adam O’Sullivan and Conor Hughes kept Avondale at bay until half time.
In the second half Sean Hilliard and Charlie Fleming started to dominate midfield and created plenty of chances where Adam Horgan was the main benefactor. Adam scored four goals to continue his remarkable run of goal-scoring this season. A good cross from Barry Chandler was met perfectly by the head of Calvin Carroll to score another good goal.
Avondale to their credit never gave up and scored a great goal themselves and can count themselves unlucky not to score more only for man of the match Dave Coffey who made five excellent saves. Also best for Springfield Ramblers were Conor Hughes and Charlie Fleming.

Mallow United A 2 Springfield Ramblers B 4
Coming from two goals down Springfield Ramblers dug deep to come away with all three points. There were outstanding performances from Man of the Match Evan O’Leary, Ger Devlin and the excellent Alex O’Mahony in midfield and Sean Butler in the heart of our defence. Goals came from Evan O’Leary, Ger Devlin, Dean O’Leary and Brad Stapleton.

Cobh Ramblers 3 Midleton A 1
A close game saw Springfield Ramblers edge out Midleton. Ramblers who were missing four of their first team took the lead through Anthony Cunningham. Midleton drew level just before half time. Michael McCall Walsh kept us in it with two world class saves until Jamie Hamilton and Darren McKevitt secured the three points.

Carrigaline United 0 Springfield Ramblers 2
Another great win for the lads. This was a very tight game against a strong Carrigaline side. The game was 1 nil at half time after an excellent goal by Tom Gill who scored direct from a free kick just outside the area. We dictated the pace of the game and there was some excellent passing that Carrigaline couldn’t match.
Cian Walker was replaced at half time after working very hard by Eoin Kelly whose lightning pace caused all sorts of problems to the Carrigaline defence.
The 2nd half was again very tight with Carrigaline pressing hard for an equaliser but the whole team worked very hard to keep them at bay. The defence put in a great shift with superb displays from Ciaran Collins and Cian O’Rourke especially. Evan Roche replaced Colin Lane who picked up a knee injury 10 mins into the 2nd half.
The 2nd goal came from a great move down the right with a fine shot from Eoin Kelly that the keeper saved well but couldn’t hold. The ball fell to Nathan O’Connell who calmly slotted the ball home. Louis Humphries and Fionn Duggan also came off the bench with 15 mins to go to shore up the midfield as some of the other lads tired, replacing Mikey Foley and Diarmuid Kearney. Ciaran Griffin worked tirelessly for the whole game wide on the right. His work in getting back to support the right full was excellent.
Umbro 12 Division 1
Springfield Ramblers A 3 Mayfield United 5
In what was an excellent game of football Springfield Ramblers were unfortunate to come out on the wrong side of this result. Against the run of play they found themselves 2 down, but they showed great spirit in fighting back firstly through a great finish by Jamie Kelly who put in a Man Of The Match display out on the left wing, and the second goal from Brian Danaj from the penelty spot. This was no more than they deserved. Springers played some great football and pushed on to go in front but were caught by a lapse in concentration and found themselves 3-2 down at the break.
The second half started as the first half finished with Springfield Ramblers pushing forward to the Mayfield goal first with Danaj skimming the post followed by Alex McCarthy, and then Luke Hamilton. Again they were caught by a rare Mayfield break and found themselves 4-2 down. They fought back again through a great finish by Luke Hamilton. A couple of missed chances would have seen Springfield Ramblers win this game which they would have deserved. The whole team should be proud of their display and that elusive win isn’t too far away.
Umbro 14 Division 1
Springfield Ramblers 7 Avondale United 2
Springfield Ramblers are showing the form that won them league honours last season with a convincing 7-2 win over Avondale Utd. Scorers on the day 3 for Jack Mac, 2 for Ray Roche, 1 each for Dylan Higgins and a smashing strike from man of the match Odhran Kidney Power.
Umbro 16 Premier
Carrigaline United 0 Springfield Ramblers 2
Springfield Ramblers goals were scored by George Gill and Rob Hughes. This was a very comfortable win in a game dominated by Springfield Ramblers who produced an excellent footballing display throughout.
Condolences
The Springfield Ramblers club extends its sincere condolences to U14 Division 1 manager Ger Burns and family, on the death of his father-in-law Johnny Hamilton.
