Springfield Ramblers 5 Avenue United A 3 A game that had everything from start to finish with the visitors going a goal up early in the game and then missing a penalty. Avenue then scored a second before an excellent finish by Neil Harte reduce arrears. As half time approached the visitors scored again to lead 3-1 at the break. At the start of the second half Springfield Ramblers struck early when Charlie Fleming scored with a 20yard rocket. Ray Roche made the score 3-3 within a minute and this gave the home team the momentum to go forward and win the game. With Springfield Ramblers dominating the play Adam O Sullivan scored a 30 yard free kick to put the home team in front 4-3, Springfield Ramblers wrapped up the game when the impressive Neil Harte lobbed the keeper from 20 yards. This win advanced Springfield Ramblers to the last 32 with an away trip to Salthill Devon of Galway
